Terms of use
What the service does, what it guarantees, and where the responsibility for a document sits.
What this service is
PDF Text Editor makes small, exact changes to a PDF you supply: replacing text with the document's own embedded fonts, and placing an image on a page. It produces a new file and never alters the one you uploaded.
Your document is yours, and so is what you do with it
You are responsible for having the right to modify any document you upload, and for what you do with the result. This tool does not inspect documents for legitimacy and makes no judgement about them. Do not use it to commit fraud, to forge documents, or to misrepresent a record to anyone relying on it.
Where a document carries a digital signature, you are told so, because editing it breaks the proof that it is unaltered. Proceeding with such an edit is your decision.
What is guaranteed and what is not
Every edit is verified before it is offered to you: the edited page is compared with the original and nothing outside your change may have moved. If that check fails, no file is produced.
Beyond that, the service is provided as it is. It does not guarantee that any particular document can be edited, that the service will be available without interruption, or that a result will be accepted by any third party. Liability is limited to the amount you paid for the document in question.
Availability
Uploads are limited to 40 MB and are deleted thirty minutes after upload. The service may be unavailable at times and may change.
Payment
Pricing and refunds are described on the pricing and refunds pages, which form part of these terms.
