Change a date on a PDF

A date that needs to read differently — on a statement, a letter, a certificate or an invoice. Changed in place, in the same digits the document already draws.

With dates, alignment is the whole job

The digits themselves are rarely a problem: a document that prints one date almost always prints others, so they are already in the font. The care goes into where dates sit — in a table column, at the end of a right-aligned line, next to an amount — where any horizontal drift is immediately visible against the row above.

That is what gets protected. 3 June is narrower than 12 May; the difference is absorbed into the spacing within the same line, so everything after the date keeps its position. After the change the page is compared with the original, and every character outside the date has to be where it was, or nothing is produced.

Formats

Whatever the document uses. 30/11/2025, 30 Nov 2025, November 30, 2025, 2025-11-30 — you type what is on the page and what it should say instead. If the month name you want needs a letter that font never uses, you are told which letter, before anything happens.

The steps

  1. Upload the document

Statement, invoice, letter, certificate — anything whose text you can select in a reader.

  2. Copy the date as it is printed

    Including the separators. 30/11/2025 and 30 / 11 / 2025 are different text.

  3. Type the date it should show

Any format the font can write.

  4. Check it

You see every date matching that text on the page, and which of them can be changed. Free.

  5. Compare and download

The result is shown as a picture first, so you can check the column still lines up before you pay.

A statement date changed digit for digit. The amounts to the right stay exactly where they were.

Questions

The same date appears in three places. Can I change them together?
Yes — set it to change every occurrence on the page, and each one is verified independently.
Will the numbers line up in the column afterwards?
That is the part that is checked. The width difference is absorbed inside the line, and after the edit every character outside the date is compared against its original position and every one has to sit exactly where it did.
Can I change a date in a scanned document?
No. A scan holds a picture of a date, not a date. There is nothing there to edit.
What about a signed document, like a bank statement?
It can be edited, and you will be told that the copy no longer matches the signature the file carries. Keep the original if you might need to show it is unaltered.
