Privacy

What happens to the file you upload, what is collected, and what is not.

The short version

Your document is uploaded so it can be edited, held while you are working on it, and deleted half an hour later. It is not read by anyone, not used to train anything, and not shared with anyone.

What is collected

The file you upload. It is written to a temporary working directory on the server, keyed to your session, and removed when that session expires — thirty minutes after upload — or sooner if the server needs the room. The results of your edits live in the same place and are removed with it. You can also delete everything at any moment with the “Delete my file now” button next to your upload.

What you type into the tool. The text you are searching for and its replacement are sent with the request and used to perform it. They are not stored beyond the life of the session.

Ordinary server logs. Requests may be logged with the usual technical details for the purpose of keeping the service running and secure. Uploaded file contents are not logged.

What is not collected

There is no account, so there is no name, email address or password. There are no advertising or analytics trackers on this site and no third-party scripts of any kind — every stylesheet and script is served from this domain.

Who else sees your file

Nobody. Editing runs on our own server; the document is not passed to any third-party service, API or model for processing.

Payments

When paid downloads open, payment will be handled by a payment provider that receives the amount and its own transaction details. Payment card details are never seen by or stored on this site, and the provider is not given your document or anything in it.
